Best cure for what ails you

Are you sick? I recommend these practices to make you feel better.

  • Eat what you want. Today I ate a hunk of rye and dill dip and a piece of Dubai chocolate. (Quick review: Nestle Crunch popped rice is superior to some exotic pistachio/phyllo New Age compromise.)
  • Watch what you want. I need comfort because I am sick, and drama because I am bored, so I had the Breaking News As it Happened subscription channel running 24 seven. Will newscasters in New York see footage of a second plane hitting the World Trade Towers and think there’s a problem with air traffic control? (Yes.) Will Ronald Reagan survive his assassination attempt? (Yes.) Will Al Gore win Florida? (No.)
  • Make someone else sick. Gary is sick now. Of course I don’t like that per se, but it is nice to hear him say, “THIS COLD IS AWFUL YOU SHOULD HAVE COMPLAINED MORE.”

  1. … I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone say “you should have complained more” about a particularly nasty cold. Points to Gary on that one.

Rye and dill dip yuuuuum. I hope there are some good hot liquids for you in some format as well, maybe? (Endangered Species has a bar of Nice Chocolate with rice crispies in it, can recommend over any puffed quinoa chocolate I’ve ever had, although I like the Endangered Species bar with freeze-dried raspberries better and generally their bars are all the same price at most retailers… also caramel+sea salt is good and their orange bar is very good and their bar with raspberry filling is again top-tier. Toffee-hazelnut fills out the list of my favorites, but there are more Quite Good ones…)

    Hope you feel better soon!

  2. KC – He balanced it out nicely with some venom later, but it was nice for a moment. And he does have the end of Stranger Things to ride to the end of the virus.
