Weekly summer health roundup: 6/13

On to week two of the recurring series of doctor’s appointments.

Speciality: Last week was the allergist, this week was the dermatologist.

Why God why: Because the neurologist said to. Evidently the oral MS medications have dermotological side effects if you take them long enough.

The assistant told me to disrobe, and I did. I sat naked on the table, wigless, waiting, and realized it was cold, I had never met this doctor, and that while being naked in front of the mammogram operator was easy, being naked in front of a man was different. I wussed out and pulled my shirt back on.

Verdict: All spots are benign. The dark spots on my scalp are flat moles. I have like thirty of those beige keratosis growths sticking on my back like leeches; that surprised me. Gary has said nothing about them. Perhaps I’m always flat on my back when I’m naked around Gary now. Also, I did get a mole and a wart frozen off. And finally he said I had very little sun damage. Not unscathed but overall a good report.
