Oh I am so sick of this painting!
Freaking tilt! I realized the tilt on the head is conflicting with the tilt on the canvas, so I took tape and made an artificial boundary for the tilt so I would stop looking at the edges of the canvas as reference points.

Supposed to be! She cannot even look at me! Terrible!
Done. I am seriously going to burn this one. Next week croquet ball, mallet, and glass jar.

NOT TERRIBLE. Really very good, actually. Yes, she does not have the entirety “I’m WATCHING you bucko” suggestion of look in her eye, but 1. she looks like herself and 2. all her features are now in the right place/size relative to each other and 3. the precise shade of look on her face is something I suspect she did sometimes have on her face in reality… sometime when not keeping an eye out for men.
KC – I keep seeing problems everywhere I look. I need to just stow her away. Perhaps this experience has made me better.
