If the popcorn ceilings have collected enough coats of paint in their lifespan, they are sometimes blunted enough for this to not be a problem, but otherwise… yes.
KC – but it is such a nightmare to paint a popcorn ceiling. Who would do it twice?
I’ve heard it’s easier with a professional paint sprayer? But I don’t know *how* the popcorn ceilings in question got a blunting coating of paint, just *that* they did…
(but also: fair!!!)
KC – I would be covered in professional paint
