Rewriting the Novel: FIVE WORDS

So I’ve been been ignoring this novel for, what, a year? I decided it would be easier if I worked off my latest printout to make revisions.

I completely forgot that sometime recently I decided to gut the first half. I went to make a revision in chapter three of the on-line copy and found that chapter three now says nothing but “Wait for Joe build tension.”

That’s it. And you know what I did after that? I dropped a thousand words out of the second half because evidently I like going backward.

  1. Eh, sometimes going backwards results in going forward more accurately, but also I kinda hope that you have drafts so that if you, at some point, want to plop parts back in, you can?
