Oh, delicious Midwest Mother Nature Justice from last night.
Local meteorologists use radar to spot tornados by various means: opposing wind direction, hook-shaped radar signatures, and debris showing up in the clouds.
Twice now they’ve noted the debris seems to be bug-sized, and they speculate the tornadoes are sucking up the “cicadas, and those little things are in the air.”
So I suppose that means when that tornado breaks up over Illinois there will be a great mass of wingless cicada bodies dumped from the skies? Looking forward to those photos.
