The Cat’s owner returned today, and I asked that she pause a moment so I could view the joyful reunion.
When that moment arrived, the Royal King of all Chonk Cats saw His rightful owner … and He immediately spun and raced into the basement.
The punishment only lasted half an hour, though, then he emerged and demanded food and pets from his Real Mom.

Good work, cat. 🙂
KC – I did think He might have been trying to show His owner how He and I would play with the fluttery cat toys in the dark so that He would have the advantage.
Sounds about right. Mine respond in various ways: 1) hiding 2) demanding food as if they haven’t had an ounce of it since I left the house, 3) sitting on my lap and refusing to get up for hours; and 4) hovering in my face like a remora to a shark.
Cats are like people, in that no two cats are the same, but they’re all a little crazy in their own way.
I currently have 10 cats in my house. Only five are mine; the rest are fosters for the Humane Society. Sometimes, it’s many more. Yes, I am THE crazy cat lady, nice to meet you.
Rosie – 10 cats! And some are fosters, too. That is God’s work. And, you just made me realize the cat never tried to sit on my lap, which is fine because he must weigh 30 pounds.
Also TDIL what a remora is. Thank you.
