- Trite Melodrama. I am still stuck at the first draft stage at that one point in the novel, so I had chat GPT write the bit I am missing. It came up with the same uninspired dreck I would say, and that concerns me.
- Best in Drama. The Oscars are coming up and I am delighted to read that the champagne carpet is gone and the red carpet is back.
- Overacting. Gary watched the State of the Union speech and I did not. He roared with laughter throughout. He refused to watch the Republican response, and it seems he missed out on some high drama.
- Gut-wrenching Drama. Much of last week was spent catching up on news pre-empted by the pandemic. I was talking to a friend about weddings, and I said, “When I think about getting married again, I would do [etc.]” That led to, “When did you and Gary get divorced?” I reacted with HORROR at the thought of divorcing Gary. Just abject horror.
