Well, that was fast. I got the okay from TeddyJ to work from home in a week and a day.
There will still be days I have to come in: once every few months, I believe. And if my absence will inconvenience anyone, like if they would need to schedule a special meeting room with Zoom capabilities to accommodate me, then I would come in for that.
And on those days, shall I come in armed with a pool noodle so people keep at least four feet away?
And shall I wear this shirt?
I don’t know how long the others will be held to the expectation that they will come in three days a week, or when TeddyJ will realize the shared-workspace floor plan they instituted will not work with everyone coming in on the same days. I also don’t know what happens to the people who, unlike me, want to keep their auto-immune problems to themselves.
There shall be jealousy. I have already suggested that all the haters could work from home like me had they only prepared in advance as I did: by getting a progressive neurological disorder for which they needed brutal immune-destroying medicine. They have only themselves to blame.

That last paragraph is glorious.
(but also: I wish companies were not doing the forced return-to-office thing. Just… no.)
