So supposedly the trial people were going to call end of this week.
They did not call.
Just as I wondered, huh, why wouldn’t they call, I read that theres a new variant of Covid.
I remembered the Omicron variant rendered the previous incarnation of the trial drug useless.
And even though this new drug is effective against Omicron, and even though the new variant is an offshoot of Omicron, I wondered if perhaps they were taking a pause to drop a bit of the new variant into a petri dish full of the new drug and see if it was useful to continue the trial.
Or, perhaps I’m wrong. Or perhaps the new drug in the imaginary petri dish will wipe out the new variant. Or maybe they’re just busy.
