Weekly Paint Progress: 4/20

This week the magenta sky went from this:

6611BBD2-E5EA-4765-A39C-573642B848EC

… to this:

E8C2FDCC-53CA-41D4-9CC8-770A97B4AF95

I am losing sight of what I like about the original. I liked the flatness, and the luminous pink, and I’m not capturing either.

  1. Harrumph. Can you figure out how to get them? Better traps? Maybe they need peanut butter instead of cheese?

  2. I suppose so.
(incidentally, the “okay, I know it’s off, but I *don’t know how to fix it*” things is my one of my least favorite things about art/outfits/home decor. Also in the running is when I know *exactly* what I want something to look like and do not have the skill to make the lines/whatever go in the right places. Harrumph again.)
(But. Practice and learning about theory help with both, so there is that. More clouds!)

  3. KC – I was just looking out the window today, saw a cloud, and realized that it was an easy one to paint.
