I am mired in line edits for the book.
I just did the math: I made a list of 1,806 changes.
(I am skipping anything big, like “climax falls apart.”)
I have made 714 edits.
I need to do 1,092 more.
Luckily, it’s the type of thing where you can work for three minutes and knock one out.
I am not doing the math to calculate how long this will take me.
