Weekly Paint Progress: 6/30

This week the Blue Heeler went from this:

… to this, because my brother pointed out I had reversed the light and dark on the two sides of the dogs face.

The dog is resting its head on a piece of driftwood, evidently. It has new problems but other problems are lessened.

  1. Progress! Sometimes progress does involve going backwards for a bit.
(how is this looking vs. the other dog in terms of coordinating painting styles? Hoping to ask that question before this one is done so you can adjust if necessary…)

  2. I was away so didn’t comment when you first posted this. I think the driftwood blanket works very well to solve the arm problem, and the remaining limb showing looks very realistic. Well done!

  3. AH – I have heard that it is impossibly thick blanket which is adding to the driftwood effect. i;m gogjnto flatten it out a bit this week.
