Mini Release

I know, I’m still talking about the new car. I think I’ve got a year’s worth of delight in the new car. Just think, I haven’t even seen or used the heated seats or steering wheel. I imagine if there weren’t a pandemic I would be less obsessed with this material thing.

This is a shot of the passenger side of the new Mini. Directly in the center is the part of the Mini I love most: the hood release catch. (Below the white section, to the left of the light.) I love that it’s still on the passenger side, which would not be called the passenger’s side in Britain, but the driver’s side.

How do I feel about the cunning tail-lights that incorporate the Union Jack? I am ambivalent. I anticipate some day some White Nationalist will punch them out in a show of Patriotism on the Walmart parking lot. Then we will see.
