Glad We Have the Pet Model of Roomba

Evidently I only clean on national holidays.

This is Gary’s hair loss since Memorial Day:

The bin was completely jammed full.
I have no idea why I didn’t get the “Please remove and clean Roomba’s brushes” message. Perhaps it sensed that my Pet paid for the Roomba.

  1. Is there Roomba Tech Support or do they just suggest “oh, your model is *years* old now, you should buy a new one!” when you ask them? There might be some sort of network sending issue…

  2. KC – no, I think the hair didn’t make it to the brushes because it was getting absorbed into the white spinny thing, therefore no message.

  3. Ah. So a “the sensors were working, there just wasn’t a sensor where there needed to be another sensor” thing…
Maybe you can set a phone alarm for a month from now to check the roomba to see how much of an additional Gary it has assembled?

  4. KC – huh – if he loses a equivalent amount each month he really is going to be completely bald. Perhaps then we might get matching toupees.

  5. Are you saving the roomba collection as toupee material? Or would you go for something a little more vivid as long as you’re getting coordinated toupees? (have to live up to The Hat, after all, on occasion)

  6. Kc – well the grey / white hair would dye well. I wonder if Gary would let me use koolaid to dye has hair.

  7. If it’s no longer on him, I don’t see why not… 🙂
(if you’re talking about dyeing still-on-Gary hair, though, yes, that would Require Permission even if he was a very deep sleeper… not fair to surprise someone with new hair when they wake up.)

  8. Oooh. Never accept that as in “he would deny his hair is a different color and double-down on that even in the face of reality” or simply would not be happy about it?
Either way, I suppose, no dye jobs during his next nap. Sigh.
