Car Theft

I have been up for two hours now, and I am still mad that the man helping me rearrange the garage essentially stole my car. We agreed on a price of $2,500, he signed the agreement, drove off in the car, and then I looked at the paperwork and he wrote $200, not $2,500.

None of this happened in reality, of course. I realize that the car he drove off in was a Dodge Dart. I have a Mini. My garage is perfectly organized. It doesn’t need to be rearranged. If it did I could do it myself, not hire someone, and on and on.

I think is all inspired by the stock market news, because in my dream I was going to invest the $2,500 because the market was so low. Every time time the morning news talks about the market I have a little pang of, “If that guy hadn’t – oh wait – he didn’t.”

I imagine my senility will be just like this. Dreams that turn into hallucinations that I can’t shake. I need to go stand in the garage and look around at reality.

  1. Oh, man. I hate dreams that corrupt real life. (but yes, going out to your garage is probably the right way to crack this one.)
