The second recommendation is They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead, the story of Orson Welles and his last movie. Orson Welles appears to be the Benjamin Button of directing: adept in his first film, Citizen Kane, and then callow in his last, The Other Side of the Wind.
If you watch it on Netflix, you will segue immediately into a re-imagined The Other Side of the Wind. I didn’t make it very far in to the actual movie. But the documentary is as good as the movie is bad. So much to applaud: Alan Cummings superior air. The clever cutting. The one spot where my jaw dropped.

Also on Netflix: Fleabag Season Two has arrived, and they are doubling down on the winks and asides. The third wall is broken and openly discussed. And, to make an even greater connection, she pulls her hair back. I spent a good deal of the first season trying to catch glimpses of [NO SPOILERS] her forehead. It’s been very gratifying.
