There was a tweet today from the Riverfront Times reporting that Saint Louis would soon have its own zip line!
I love some zip line.
I couldn’t click the link immediately so I had a few hours to wonder where they might put a zip line.
Downtown seemed to be the obvious choice.
Or the brewery.
It’s surprising the City Museum doesn’t have one already.
It could go from Art Hill through the Zoo to the Jewel Box to the Muny to the Boat House and over Post-Dispatch Lake.
Ends up that the zip line will be a bit south, at Meramec Caverns.
I told Gary, and he gasped:
“THROUGH THE CAVERNS?”
I suppose it would scare the bats, so it’s over Creve Couer Lake.
Opens in May.

I think your route looked much more exciting. I would come all the way to Saint Louis for that.
What the hell is a zip line?
Big Dot – Instead, what we have is a zip line run in Meth Country. Makes me a little worried. Hattie – Tourists are attached to a cable and slide between towers. Here you go, this is the zip line I was on in Jamaica:http://mocklog.typepad.com/queen_mediocretia/2008/02/zip-line.html
That rain forest looks just like around here. But no zip lines, so far.
Hattie – good! Keep them out of there. (Even though they are pretty unobtrusive.)
Great posting! I love the zip line tours and love to know about it.Thanks for sharing about it.
