Bleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaah

Bleeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh.

I’ve heard they doctor placebos now so that they give side effects just like the real drug.

If this is a placebo I will be forced to go to Switzerland and kick the shit out of the Novartis people.

  1. They can make a pill to give you fake side effects but they can’t make a pill to cure you? Methinks perhaps the research money is going to the wrong purpose.

  2. Oh yeah, I’d like to see Swiss butts kicked. Just because they’re so… Swiss. I work with a Swiss guy at Unnamed Co. His personal hygiene leaves much to be desired.

  3. My first roommate in college was Swiss. I got to the room first and put my things in the middle and left so we could divvy up the space when she arrived. When I returned she had taken up 2/3 of the closet space, claimed all the furniture in the ‘nicer’ half of the room, and wallpapered her HALF of the room. She then proceeded to complain about America and Americans for the next four weeks, when she finally decided to move off campus to where her new European friends lived. She kind of ruined the Swiss for me.

  4. Caroline – I had fried rice again tonight. Actually, It’s a reduced heart rate thing, not blood pressure.Katie – Ha! But what if I lost and got my butt kicked?Becs – Well, only if they sell this drug for one grand a month like the old ones.Suebob – Yeah, they have these psychogenic placebos now, since people expect side effects. Or I could be on the drug. Or I could be incredibly suggestible.Friend #3 – Only during business hours.Becs – But .. but … Lindt chocolate!TasterSpoon – Ha – I scared my college roommate by unpacking. There should be some way to have roommates meet before their stuff arrives.Friend #3 – I’m sure some swiss are nice.Judith – Neh – I usually get every side effect, and they usually go away in a couple of weeks.Plus, I’ve found that If i sit up or stand up veeeeerrrrrrrrryyyyyy slowly Im fine.

  5. Marriage 101 – well, I understand why they make psychoactive placebos. If people suspected they had the placebo then some would doubtless drop out of the test because they would focus on the fact they weren’t getting anything out of it and ignoring that other people would ultimately get a new drug out of it. (by the way, Shhhh – there is no WAY this is a placebo that I’m on. But of course, we all say that. But, really. No way.)Oh wait – were you talking about how cruel people are to the Swiss?
