In Keeping with Muslim Tradition

Off to KC. Today is Day Two of the three-day Kashmiri wedding of my nephew.

Last night was the painting of the hands with Henna. Henna Party! We were not invited, but that is fine.

Today and tomorrow are the bride’s and groom’s receptions, respectively.

Gary bought a lovely card:

Card1

Card2

Yep, and it plays the Chicken Dance when you open it. I’m sure the new in-laws will love us.

  1. No dancing, but some clapping in time with some rocking Islamic noises. I almost said, “Hey, that sounds a little like Matisyahu,” but I stopped myself.

  2. Friend #3 – I should use this space to say … “Wedding? What wedding?” I needed to bring the wedding photos down. I can’t tell you why. I can tell you it is not terrorism-related.
