Well, Farewell TypePad. Feedblitz says that on TypePad I had 40 or so people who came by regularly, and this morning I had 20 visitors. And now at the very last minute I have 40 or so. Hello!
I’m working next on a blogroll for the right side with an extra link for blogs that left us before 2024. (Let me tell you, 2017 was a bad year to be a blog.) All the internal links should work now. The only 404 you get should be if you click on a graphic to make it bigger. I think I have to edit those by hand, and I’m only done with 2025.
I’m tempted to add a Subscribe button, but that sends subscribers email every time I post something. Then they would grow to hate me.
Ironic that I copied all of Mom’s BlogSpot blog over to Typepad, thinking BlogSpot was the one facing oblivion. (It’s still on BlogSpot, and you can get there from the link in the footer.)
I still miss TypePad. A little. Still, I’m sure I’ll grow to love my new stepBlogPlatform in time.
And, in the end, the blog you take is equal to the blog you make.

KC – Ooh, it seems like they shouldn’t count AI and bot visits. Or they should let you turn that off.
