Even though Gary isn’t taking the trail cam videos anymore, I can still document the first baby raccoon sighting of the summer. On the night of June 19 these babies joined some baby skunks on the patio. Gary coaxes the wildlife close with a special feeding station right outside the back door. He’ll stay up late and talk to them and take photos. (Brick for scale.)
This also means the raccoon baby poop smell is right outside the back door now, and it also means I’m forbidden to pull any weeds out of the garden because “the animals like the cover.” Plus, he hasn’t stopped feeding all the animals further unto the yard, that nonsense is still going on.

They *are* very cute but… smell and germs and weeds. Sigh.
KC – smell and germs and weeds and roundworm and distemper and rabies.
… ew, worms. I thought I was covering the bases with germs but no, parasites, euuuugh.
KC – Yup. Parasites. It’s not the best hobby.
