Gary messaged me to say that he has a grand plan to get in shape for when the Covid is over, so that when that day comes, he’ll be ready to travel. Evidently, if you keep a homebody stuck at home three and a half years, even the biggest homebody will get the urge to rove.
Where will we go? He mentioned Asia. I suppose that’s because he thinks of China as the place where the pandemic started, and though he didn’t call out Wuhan, I am certain he feels drawn there due to the danger.
I suppose he’s trusting that the virus will just give up while he is still young enough to travel. Or, it may just have been an odd wild hair. No doubt I will one day book tickets to hear him say, “ASIA? DO YOU WANT TO KILL ME WOMAN?”
I think I’ll pretend too, for a while. It’s a lovely idea.
