Portrait of the Blogger as a Young Man: 33% Calmer

I’ve been tracking the effect this new drug (Oxybutynin) is having on the spasms. It has a short half-life, and it’s been good at targeting the urinary problems, which is what it’s designed for. If I take it and wait an hour then I can go four, even five hours without needing the bathroom. It doesn’t last long enough to give me an uninterrupted night’s sleep, but it’s been ten years since I’ve had that.

As for the bowel problems? Wow. Chef’s kiss. It’s been so long since I’ve been normal that I don’t recognize the perfect little packages that are coming out of me on the regular. And I mean regular, like every other day, always two hours after breakfast.

And finally, the uterine/vaginal problems. The current pace seems to be one calm day followed by two quivering days, even if I haven’t taken the tablet for days. So I suppose that’s a 33% effectiveness rate.

I’ll take it for life just for this bowel perfection that I haven’t enjoyed for years. No need for botox.
