I remember when I had the tiVo. It would give you suggestions based on every show you said you liked, whereas Netflix makes suggestions based on only one specific show. “Because you watched one episode of The Unxplained here are fifty shows centering on fairies.”
I also remember that one time I got sick of the tiVo suggestions and gave every show a thumbs down. “I cannot please you!” it cried. “Here, here is some porn.” And then all the suggestions were straight up porn.
It seems MasterClass purchased the suggestion software engine from tiVo. haven’t used MasterClass since Dave died. I just got this email. It really came from MasterClass, look right above her forehead.
“Completed the Great Sex course of study.” I can imagine putting that in a Tinder profile.
