At night when the house is silent, the fan on Gary’s new laptop roars like a typhoon. I let Gary know.
I don’t think he listened to the laptop before purchasing an extra cooling fan for the laptop to sit on.
I know he didn’t look at the image of the fan on Amazon. Or read the description. Or looked at anything on the page before clicking Buy Now.
He was surprised.

KC – well, the slant of the cooler makes the laptop impossible to type on, so the laptop will be cooled only when it is resting at night. According to him that’s when downloads and patches come in and that’s when it needs the fan. Sounds like rationalizing to me, but okay. He did turn off the rainbow, sadly.
