- Evidently the escape to the movies continues into 2020. I am afraid to calculate how much money I could have saved if I hadn’t seen any movies, or if I had only seen good movies. I wouldn’t call this movie an escape, though.
- Who knew war could be so ugly and so pretty? The cinematography was lovely.
- After the movie I was in the Des Peres Cinema bathroom, washing my hands. Each sink had an automated soap dispenser, automated faucet, and I swear to you, an individual automated hand air dryer. I had just spent two hours thinking nothing but “Thank God I’m not a soldier,” so having my own personal hand dryer was quite the contrast.

You could save a pile of money by sitting at home not going anywhere ever, but what’s fun about that? I really want to see this one. The hand dryer thing is both sad and hysterically funny.
Allison – it was probably the best example of a war movie I can think of. It’s worth watching.
