Good for you! How did that palmier go down?
I have to say, though, that glasses of wine have been conspicuously absent from these photos.
Please describe these pastries. Let me live vicariously through you. Food porn! Your readers demand more than toe porn – we want food porn! And wine porn!
By the way, those are very fancy religieuses, but have you tried the simple coffee one? Drooling here, just at the thought…
Big Dot – the palmier was a perfect blend of nuts and sugar and hone and butter – what baklava hopes to be but never is.
Becs – i will, I promise. I’m saving my words for later. But that chocolate nut bun was too crunchy. The outside tasted like an almond dove ice cream bar, but the inside was more like an uncooked slurry of light brown sugar and nuts.
Big dot – I have given up on wine. Prangims is more my style. I tried the French wine but it seemed just lie American. But I did get drunk on the cheese.
Pamgrims = orangina
What is pamgrims anyway?
Google wants to know if I meant Pilgrims. But there is a blogger in Holland called Pamgrim – who was born in Mexico. The plot thickens…
I’m with you on the Orangina, by the way. That cute little fat bottle is half the attraction.
