In Which We Are Amused

I usually don’t blog at work, but I need to record the conversation I just had with Libby and Marcia (whose blog is going to be dead to me soon if she doesn’t update it).

I said that Gary is shopping for a new car, has turned on the Prius for some reason, and now he wants a Honda Fit, which makes Gary and I laugh because he has epilepsy. Marcia suggested that this was not politically correct, and I should say instead Honda Seizure, as in “Gary’s getting a Seizure.” Then Libby recommended it be a Grand Mal, like Grand Am. Then Marcia said given the dimensions it should be a Petit Mal.

Then we all apologized to the new guy, in case he has epilepsy as well and not the same sense of humor as my husband.

  1. 1. You don’t mind that I laugh at the whole Honda Fit/Gary having epilepsy thing, too, do you? Because, HA.2. The word on the street is that Grand Mal is big in Belgium, so much so that there’s a tribute band made up of little people called Petit Mal, and that Petit Mal is TOTALLY fighting with Mini Mal (yet another tribute band) over which is the better Grand Mal tribute band in all the land.3. Sorry, New Guy.

  2. Okay, here’s the plan.1. We contact Petit Mal.2. Convince them to go to Canada.3. Get them a gig singing backup for the newly-disengaged Alanis.4. Hence, Alanis and the Morissettes.

Comment, even if you aren't on WordPress. Make up a name. Fine by me.
