Okay. Gary and I recently decided to replace the HVAC in the house. Because …
- The current one was “CONTAMINATED” by the dust from the back door / handrail / bathroom ceiling home repairs.
- It has been almost twenty years since the original builder’s one was replaced, so we’re due.
- And, might as well get ahead of it so that we aren’t suffering with a broken one until they can get it fixed.
He actually made calls and now we’ve got a contract to sign. The new one will have a thermostat where you choose one temperature, not a range, and it makes adjustments accordingly. There’s also a spot on the thermostat where you pick your desired humidity level.
And most important …
He is going for one that shall filter out cat dander with a HIPA filter and somehow dispose of that and any other contminants with an “air scrubber.” Then, after it runs a bit to eradicate any latent cat dander, he says that we can then go find a replacement cat for Goldie. A cat that we select, not a sickly one, maybe a kitten, who knows.
I am very excited about this top-of-the-line HVAC system. I assume it will also have outlets where we can plug in nasal cannulae when we are old and need oxygen. Maybe it will have a high-humidity sauna setting. It does cost double what our last one cost, but as Gary said, “AIR SCRUBBER.”
