Slow motion

As I went in to cash the house sale check, a poltergeist spirit sent by Dave from the great beyond knocked me down. Or perhaps it was nothing to do with Dave, and just the rumpled weather mat outside the revolving door, but in a second my knees hit the sidewalk, then my hands, then my right temple. (My sunglasses skittered across the sidewalk, and my headband popped right off, but my wig stayed put.)

The damage? Right hand and knee are bruised. Right temple has a knot and a scrape.

Strangest of all, I immediately felt like I had a bad bladder infection.

I asked, “What is wrong with you, bladder?”

“JOSTLED,” my bladder cried, “We don’t like being jostled!”

  1. … my bladder also sometimes Strongly Resents being jostled, but I always attributed this to adhesions. Maybe it just Doesn’t Like It, regardless of whether a bit of it is tied down somewhere!
(ice and stretching and gentle movement and elevating the bruised bits today, yes?)

  2. KC -surprisingly, things are getting back to normal, wxcept for, of course, the bladder. I do remember that during my first colonoscopy the doctor noted my adhesions. Bladders are such fussy babies.

Comment, even if you aren't on WordPress. Make up a name. Fine by me.
