Flowers

I don’t know why it delights me so when flowers bloom. I have done virtually nothing to bring that blossom into the world.

(You could compare it to equestrian sports in the Olympics: the human does not do the heavy lifting. (Or that’s my gut reaction. I’m sure it’s a sport, just … is it an Olympic sport?))

So the arbor has held wisteria, tea roses, morning glories, trumpet vine, and now hyacinth bean.

You go, independent little bean bloom. Don’t get eaten by any elevated groundhogs.

  1. Go, little bean bloom, go!
I was rejoicing in the fact that my impatiens had recovered from the heat dome that occurred while we were away (so I wasn’t able to water them) but then some creature had them for breakfast. Sigh. – Common Household Mom

  2. CHM – You grow roots, not plants, so I bet your impatiens will be back in two weeks. (And I bet the creature was a groundhog, flower-eating bastards.)

Comment, even if you aren't on WordPress. Make up a name. Fine by me.
