Weekly Paint Progress: 10/20

This was going to be my brother’s fourth and final dog painting:

4D22F017-4441-473D-86E7-56C9AFACB4C8

It’s a dreadful photo of his very first dog – he took a slanted digital photo of a tilted collage of 1970s photos.

It is very possible I won’t be painting it for my brother. He’s been in the hospital two weeks with blood clots, heart stress, pulmonary embolism, and obstructed bile ducts, and they’ve deduced this is all probably a byproduct of liver cancer. They were going to do a liver biopsy earlier this week, but the anti-clot medicine made it unsafe to poke holes in his organs.

So, no way to make plans, so, I don’t want to start this painting. Too much up in the air. Too much significance to this one little puppy painting.
