A few weeks ago I read through the Mini manual and made a list of thirty things I felt I needed to practice hands-on.
I then reconsidered three things and deleted them from the list:
- pressing the concierge button and asking a question of a living human (nope)
- testing the alarm system with no guarantee the red button on the key fob will turn it off (nope)
- Watching a video on the dashboard display, requiring that I “jailbreak” my iPhone, and I will not do anything with “Break” and “Phone” in the same sentence (nope)
I got busy and now I have only a few things left to practice:
- Parallel park with the self-parking assist
- Use the cruise control (never used cruise control in Gary’s car)
- Turn the lights on manually just in case the dark sensor stops working.
I feel pretty comfortable with the car now. Still get giggly when I accelerate in sport mode. I can still remember when I had to manually roll the windows up and down in my first … well first and second and third cars. All this tech is dizzying.
