Mindhunter/Bundy

I took my time getting there, but now I’ve joined the crowd of ghouls watching Mindhunter on Netflix. Once you get to episode 3 it’s a fascinating story of how the FBI created profiles of serial killers (initially called lust murderers).

After I ate that all up, I watched Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile, the dramatization about Ted Bundy and his longtime girlfriend. Not as good as Mindhunter, except for the chilling final scene with Ted and his girlfriend and the window, which IMDB now tells me was completely concocted.

I’m sure I’ll be off this kick soon, but unti that day, I suspect everyone I know of being a sexually-motivated serial killer. Well, not everyone. Not the women. But are you a man I know with a distant father and an abusive mother? You’re a baby Bundy. Keep away from me, you lust murderer.
