Placebo Revisited

This just happened: I found a bottle of turmeric among my medicines. “What on earth?” I thought. “Why do I have a bottle of turmeric?”

Side effects of turmeric: loss of memory of events that happened less than a month ago.

It would seem that burping up a capsule of the stuff was enough to put me off turmeric. I did not have enough success to get the delusion we all get when drugs work: “I feel better so I don’t need these drugs that are the reason I feel better.”
