So for the last twenty minutes I’ve been chasing an ocular migraine, that strange little jagged rainbow that pops up for no reason.
I tried to use the same technique I use to get over the tinnitus. I can get over the tinnitus by listening very closely to the ringing in my ears. If I concentrate hard enough the noise gets self conscious and fades away in a minute or so.
So this time I tried very focus on the rainbow. I think I must have focused too hard, because it blurred into a blurry neon rainbow.
“It’s my own personal aurora borealis!” I thought. “And no one else can see it!”
Then I decided I was entirely too positive. Who puts a positive spin on brain anomalies?
People with brain damaged caused euphoria, that’s who.

I’ve had a couple of ocular migraines and thought they were fun. I went out at night and thought I saw an ambulance or police car one street over and thought, hey, I didn’t know they had spikey green lights on them now. Cool! I hope if you have the headache part of it that it goes away soon. Otherwise, taste the rainbow, girl.
Weirdo.
I now wish I had asked you if you wanted to come on Parahoy with me. I suspect that you wouldn’t vacation without Gary, though.
Ocular migraines. So that’s what they are. They totally disappeared when I started taking a beta blocker. The tinnitus, however, is here to stay. So I just live with it and even think I might miss it if it were to disappear.
Becs – nope, no headache, thankfully.
Tami – who is on Parahoy? Paramore?
Hattie -it might be oddly quiet if it suddenly left?
It’s because of you! YOU!@!!! that i learned about ocular migraines and finnally put a name on my ‘two interlocking fuzzy circles’ that I see sometimes. and sometimes (not always) they go away and then a HUMUNGO MIGRAINE appears.
but not always.
i use to be worried about it but then i learned what it was and confirmed it with a real doctor (not just wikipedia) and felt much better.
TOTALLY FORGOT WHERE I LEARNED THAT FROM!!
see now, knowledge is power yo!! positive spin yo!!
Mrs Hall – You have the actual migraine pain? Oh, I am sorry. Gary’s still getting over the migraine he had a year and a half ago.
