The Old Normal

At work there was much praise from bosses, bosses of bosses, and the boss of them all. Then work ended and things went back to the way they used to be.

Almost. I don’t think Gary wants to give up the complete TV control he’s had the last five months. While I studied finance, Gary studied Stargate. There are only limited Stargates, so he switched to Charmed. (He has forgotten he has already seen every episode.)

Tonight, he called to me from the living room.

“Ellen! There’s a noise!”

I remembered I was making chicken stock. (Real food. All the junk food has been foist on TeddyJ.) “It’s just the pressure cooker.”

“Okay. I thought it might be a demon.”

=========================================

My goals for this weekend:

Weed for ten minutes

Play guitar for five minutes

Read for two hours

Tidy for ten minutes

Move Moms blog here

Get an MRI and see if I actually did grow a new lobe of my brain to accommodate all this new Series 7 information

Barbecue my Series 7 literature

Read three of Mom’s old letters

Goof off the rest of the time

And go to breakfast with Gary on Saturday. It will literally be a breaking of a fast, because Gary “ate too much last night” and is punishing himself.

  1. Synchronicity ensues: On Monday I ran out of DVR’d shows that I hadn’t seen, so on Tuesday I watched an episode of “Charmed” that I didn’t remember. One of the guys who played a demon later wound up in a major role on General Hospital, though, so that was familiar. Alyssa Milano was blonde, and that wasn’t familiar at all.
My TiVo has the episode where BNL are in the very last scene fairly often.

  2. Ooo, have breakfast at Cafe Osage on Saturday. I meet some friends there for breafast most Saturdays and the food is divine. Check the menu online first though because it’s not normal IHOP type of breakfasts.

  3. You have to save the Series 7 for the big BBQ in October. I’m putting Under the Dome on top of the barbie.

  4. Tami – Oh! Have you seen the rest of the episode? All about the clinical depression.Amy in StL – I’m on probation for recommending places we eat because Harvest was so bad. We went to First Watch.Becs – Well I could bring part. It weighs a lot.
