Just today, these things made me exclaim, “Damn!”
- Mom’s nurse visits might really be paid for by the Long Term Coverage at my new job. That was a happy “Day-umn!”
- There’s a supposed death star headed for earth. That was a worried “Damn.”
- The governor of New York hooked up with a hooker. That was a wryly superior “Damn.”
- The hooker cost thousands of dollars. That was a hushed-tone respectful “Damn.”
- This was a happy, horrified “Jammies! Damn!” You sent 650 Lushies over. Damn, girl! You rock.

I first heard about the Spitzer thing at work yesterday and laughed. He’s been so holier-than-thou, going after this industry and that industry. But I did a double-take when I heard about the $5K hookers. I mean – day-um, what do they do? And do I really want to know?
It wasn’t me so much as your blog and the subsequent comments. Words like “brilliant” were used in describing your writing. 🙂
My new favorite term “Don’t get Spitz’d!”
Gotta love those readership spikes, and the subsequent search to figure out how to repeat them. My “Panties!” theory got blown to hell, so I’m currently at a loss to explain my one day of popularity.
One of aforementioned Lushies here. I am loving your blog. It has kept me entertained all day at work. =-)
I second most of your ‘damns’…
Well, Jammies got me here, but your writing keeps me here!
Damn. I still don’t know what Lush is.
Becs – I know! I guess they are paying for the hot body? Or maybe he’s into, uh, eliminating? Jammies – Well, thank you.Marriage 101 – My favorite was the Daily Show suggestion “Spitzer Swallows”Candy – It’s weird, isn’t it? I had a huge “Kirstie Alley” spike when she lost that weight.”” (Hi, Mystery Lushie!)- Hey, are you the person who read half of every category? I can see people getting to the bottom of the screen and ignoring the “>>” at the bottom. I worry about those people.Sue – Double Damn!Lisa – Aw, thanks. Cut it out.Katie – Lush is a line of bath products made of heroin. http://www.lush.com.
I love your response to Katie. My friends tell me I have a Lush problem. And after I poke my head out of the pile of soaps and bath bombs I tell them, “Shut up! The after X-mas sale was buy one box get two free! And I got free samples and free face masks” It’s not a problem if it’s on sale – that’s the problem with drugs…. Not enough Clearance Sales!
Amy in StL – Someone needs to sell Gently Used Lush on eBay. I’d buy a lotion with just a bit gone, say someone found out they didn’t like citrus.
