Just a few weeks ago someone at work referenced the “drummer from Led Zeppelin,” and I said, “Oh the guy with one arm” and someone else said “JOHN BONHAM ONLY HAS ONE ARM THAT’S AMAZING” and then someone else clarified the difference between Led Zeppelin and Def Leppard.
Not coincidentally, Gary and I recently watched the documentary Becoming Led Zeppelin, It follows the band members up until 1970. I am now a little less ignorant about Led Zeppelin.
- The hook to Whole Lotta Love is the best hook in rock, according to Gary, but not according to experts.
- I would pay a thousand dollars to have a wig that looks and moves like the young Robert Plant’s hair.
- Early on there were some songs by The Yardbirds. “Oh,” I exclaimed, “I love The Yardbirds. They were so great, but then they broke up. I wonder what happened to them.”

Bummer! It looks like I’m not a member of the only two places where I could watch this.
