Review: The Morning Show

I had no desire to watch this show, no matter how many awards it won. Dark topic. Unlikeable characters. Scheming and politics.

Still, I was eventually swayed by the awards, so I watched the first episode last month. After that I was even less interested. I couldn’t keep the characters straight. Too many men with too many job titles. They all blurred together.

But a few weeks later I tried the second episode, and that hooked me so much that Gary and I watched all three seasons straight through. It is so well written. Those actors should hand over all their profits and awards to the writers. I went back and watched select parts of the first season again, just to watch how the writers manipulated me in just the best way.

I feel a bit like I don’t want to see season four next year. My favorite subplot had just the perfect resolution. It can only go downhill from here.
