I missed two things in the sky recently.
- I missed the green comet. This guy did not. He’s the only person who saw it as far as I can tell. This is the second comet I missed, because it was cloudy during my one chance to see Halley’s comet. I have seen just one, Halle-Bop, which was just a blurry wad until I got the binoculars. Then it was a slightly less blurry wad.
- I missed the Chinese spy balloon, but many in Saint Louis did not, including a) a local weatherman and b) my old hairdresser. Facebook was full of white circles on blue skies.
