Wig Week: Missed the Mark

Several attempts at hair missed the mark.

This hair looked cute from the side but very egg-like from the front.

I think I could have done aubergine and brown, or red and brown, but not aubergine, red, and brown.

In addition, I got a fake ponytail in what I thought was a slightly lighter shade than the color of the short style. Just as dark, as you see below.

It looked so comical I thought I would keep that hybrid wig on wig construction and surprise Gary when he came home.

He was surprised. Then he went to the bathroom and came back out wearing Mom’s wig. It was too young for him.

  1. This is all fabulous. I think the first wig (barring any egg-shaped-ness – are you referring just to it having asymmetrical bangs?) would be perfect if you went for a second career as a Starbucks barista.
That is definitely comical. I feel like it’d work better if the base wig were not so obviously definitely cut short… but as it is, tribble stacking!
