The time Gary spotted a bald eagle he called me from the road immediately.
This time he was home for two hours before he mentioned it. This most recent eagle was a Golden Eagle instead of a bald eagle, and it was in a busy intersection, not on the winding back road.
I’m sure the next eagle he sees he won’t even mention it. And also, why don’t I see any eagles? I’m on the roads more than he is.
It is nice to see the eagles without paying $400, like you usually do to see the Eagles.

Possibly, just possibly, you are paying more attention to the road and/or driving?
(there is also a “find & ID the bird” filter that some people have honed, so there is that possibility as well.)
KC – well, he was a biology major, so I imagine he’s more inclined to notice the biome in the field.
