Review: Zombieland Double Tap

We almost didn’t go see ZombieLand Double Tap, the sequel to the delightful ZombieLand. Gary read some poor reviews. The general complaint was that it was just the original ZombieLand repackaged.

I said I liked the original, what I remember from ten years ago, and I wouldn’t mind seeing it repackaged.

And it was just delightful! Just like the original. (I think there may even be a nod to that when you meet the Albuquerque and Flagstaff characters.)

So, if you liked the original, go see ZombieLand Double Tap; if you didn’t like the original, what didn’t you like? Was it the gore and violence? Oh, yeah, then do not see the sequel. It’s just as gory.

So, now we’ve seen our four movies for five bucks each: Ad Astra, Downton Abbey, Judy, ZombieLand Double Tap. Pretty good deal. (I’m not considering the fifteen dollar soda or all the two meals out as part of the value equation.) So, we bought another set of movies, since the trailers roped us in to wanting to see Jojo and Motherless Brooklyn. Could we have watched these movies at home? Probably, except for Ad Astra. But I like going on dates with my grumpy husband.
