13 Days – Not Long Enough

Usually at the end of thirteen days off, I am ready to return to the office. The last few days I’m just waiting it out, until I “get to” go to work.

Boy, not this time. I had such a good time that it was a sad day when I put on the bra and headed back to the programming factory. Before I left, Gary said, “Don’t you want to retire? It could be like this all the time. Just the two of us, playing games, and watching the news, and eating apple pie.”

He was so convincing that the first thing I did when I got back to work was make a spreadsheet comparing how much we’d have in the 401k if I left at 58, 61, or 65. Tempting.
