I truly believe he doesn’t remember saying or doing anything inappropriate to any of his accusers.
Because he was hammered. The two incidents we know of happened after dinner.
I think he gets drunk and acts like the Sex Machine To All The Chicks. (Cain! Can you dig it?)

Or he uses getting hammered as an excuse for attacking women, and then he pretends to forget what he did.
Or — since we’re spitballing here — perhaps he’s so entitled and misogynistic that he genuinely thinks that harassment is no big deal, i.e., not inappropriate.
I was flabbergasted* by his “I have never acted inappropriately with anyone, period,” because OH REALLY? Who hasn’t said something inappropriate to someone, sometime?
That blanket assertion of utter blamelessness doesn’t sound like someone given to pensive reflection on the meaning of their own acts and words. In other words, it sounds like the remark of a thoughtlessly entitled person, the kind of person who might treat less powerful people as objects.
*Then flabbergasterization gave way to petty giddiness when I realized: you cannot make an assertion like that and NOT have it come back to bite you, which will at least give Jon Stewart’s crew a few nights of easy writing.
I’m thinking that while he’s probably not evil in his *intentions*, Herman Cain is in NO WAY fit to be President of the US.
I agree that he probably does not think that his behavior was inappropriate. I suspect that he possesses the kind of ego that tells him that it’s all right when *he* does it.
Hattie – More likely.Elsa – I liked it better at the very beginning when he was hedging. it looks like the handlers taught him to deny deny deny. Tami – Yes! How’s a man SUPPOSED to get a blow job?
Genesis 4:13
Benchmark – “Cain said to the LORD,’My punishment is more than I can bear’” – nice.
