Man On the Cusp of Male Menopause

Gary refused to join me by the laptop to watch the replay of last week’s pre-empted House.

Instead, he chose to stay in the other room and watch The Princess Diaries. This was his primary show.

His secondary? Soldier.

“They’re obeying orders, Sir. It’s their duty.”

“Oh, your majesty, in America, it doesn’t always mean to be quiet. Here it could mean ‘Wow, gee whiz, golly wolly … ‘”

“Fear and discipline. Always.”

“You know most kids hope for a car for their 16th birthday, not a country!”

“Your men… are obsolete.”

This has to be some type of hormonal fluctuation. Oh, Princess Diaries is over. Now it’s a double-feature of Bring It On and From Dusk Till Dawn.

  1. Now that’s what I call a balanced viewing schedule. What’s wrong with being in touch with his feminine side? It’s better than being scared to watch ‘Up’ in case it messes with your emotions…

  2. Lifetime Television for Women was Jeff’s favorite channel. Although I cannot think of a single show we watched.
My favorite is the strings of similar horror stories, tonight’s for example: Abducted: A Father’s Love (ewww), She Didn’t Know She Was Pregnant, Fifteen and Pregnant, Not Without My Daughter.
    Aha! I see plotline!

  3. .75 – Well, I understand that is true, but I don;t think Quentin intended it to be a mash-up with Bring It On.Big Dot – I guess he can view half chick flick, half dick flick. And hey! I’ll watch “Up” as soon as I watch “Sophies Choice.”Gaoo – All I know of Lifetime is the parodies I’ve seen of it. Isn’t that the channel with all the Valerie Bertinelli movies?
