Wow. This has been a bear. I think part is the complexity of WordPress. I felt stupid enough that I thought I was entering my dotage. Then, when I was struggling with how to delete three years of duplicate posts and comments, I saw a suggestion that I write a SQL old school database delete command.
I realized 1.) oh, it’s a database, and 2.) I know enough about databases to steer clear of SQL delete commands.
But still, when I realized that WordPress is a database, my staging account and production account started to make much more sense. They sent some links to helpful videos and I think I’m on the right path now.
