Good Things: Crazy, Ex-Girlfriend

Dave’s liver disease and the drugs are all affecting his perceptions. At least I hope those are the reasons why he is confusing me with one of his least favorite girlfriends, Colleen. (Not Colleen’s fault.)

I first noticed when he said, “Come over here, babe.” That was followed by “How’s it going sweetie?” That was followed by an impromptu back rub after which he gently swatted my left boob like a tetherball.

In lucid moments he says he does it because we’ve known each other longer than the ex. A friend said it’s a good thing she wasn’t his most favorite ex-girlfriend.

  1. Hospice is all about the awkward sometimes, but that is a new one for me! (also: tetherball: you have gifts with the English language)

  2. KC – it was nice to hear him be gentle with someone he thought was a girlfriend, I usually only hear when things get violent.

Comment, even if you aren't on WordPress. Make up a name. Fine by me.
